Websites and new-business leads · Calgary

Two things, done right.

I build one-page websites for local businesses, and I send a weekly list of the businesses that have just opened in Calgary to the people who want to sell to them.

Every price is published below. You see the work before you pay for it.

What I do

What I do

Two services

I have deliberately kept this short. These are the two things I do properly, rather than a long list done adequately.

If customers cannot find you

One-page websites

A single, fast, well-built page that loads in seconds and reads clearly on a phone. Your services, your hours, your photographs, and a phone number customers can tap once to call.

For restaurants and cafes this includes your menu rebuilt as a proper web page, with printed QR cards for the tables — no more asking people to pinch and zoom a PDF.

Built in about a week. You see it finished before you pay anything, and revisions are included until it is right.

Foundation rate — first 10 businesses$299
Standard rate$499
Maintenance afterwards$29/mo

If you sell to other businesses

The new-business list

Every Monday, a list of the businesses newly licensed in Calgary: trading name, address, sector and contact details. Sign makers, insurers, cleaners, printers, point-of-sale dealers and equipment suppliers are all chasing the same customers, and most hear about them far too late.

Each list is checked by hand before it goes out. Licence renewals, relocations and second premises of established companies are removed, so what arrives on Monday is genuinely new.

I sell to one business per trade, so the list you receive is not going to your direct competitor.

First month$29
Monthly thereafter$99

Process

Process

How it works

Three stages. You are involved in the first and the last.

Stage one

Consultation

Ten minutes on the phone. You tell me what the business does and what needs sorting. No meeting, no presentation, no jargon.

Stage two

Build

I do the work. Most sites are ready to look at within a week. You send me your photographs and details and I handle everything technical.

Stage three

Approval

You see the finished site before it goes live and before any invoice. Revisions are included until you are happy with it.

Work

Work

Concept work

I chose these businesses, built the sites unprompted, and published them. None of them is a client and none has approved the work. That is the order every job here runs in: the work first, your decision after. Judge the standard, not the client list. Best viewed on a phone, which is where most of your customers will see it.

Golden Bell

Concept build · Vietnamese restaurant · Bridgeland, Calgary

The full menu is published on the restaurant's own site, a level down and hard to read on a phone. This concept rebuilds all 86 priced lines as one searchable mobile menu. Opening hours are left blank, because five different versions are currently published and only the owner can say which is correct.

The Master Electrician Ltd.

Concept build · Electrician · Calgary

Built around the company's own logo and the work it has publicly described: residential, commercial and industrial electrical, and lighting, with the phone number it publishes. No hours, prices or licence claims appear on it, because the business has not published any.

The Joshua Tree Bar

Concept build · Public house · Blarney Street, Cork

A neighbourhood pub with no website of its own. Built around the venue's own colours and signage, with what is on tap and a phone number customers can tap once to call.

Terms

Terms

Terms of engagement

The commercial terms that apply to every project, stated plainly.

Approval before payment

You see the completed work before it goes live and before an invoice is issued. Revisions are included until it meets your requirements. If it does not, no payment is due.

What I need from you

A phone call and your photographs. I handle everything technical. Where a job needs access to an account you already own — your Google listing, for instance — you grant that access yourself and I talk you through it, usually in under ten minutes. I will never ask you for a password.

No contract

One-off work carries no ongoing commitment. Monthly services can be stopped at any time by sending me a message, ending from the following month.

You own the work

The website, the domain name and the listings are yours, in your name. All access is handed over to you on completion, and moving to another provider is straightforward at any point.

Fixed pricing

The prices on this page are the prices charged. There are no hourly rates and no variable charges. Anything outside the list is quoted in writing first.

About

About

About Grand Job

Grand Job is run by Jason Daly — from Cork, based in Calgary. Every project is done personally: the person you speak to is the person doing the work.

My background is in regulated clinical-trial documentation, where accuracy is audited and mistakes are not tolerated. That is the standard I work to here.

Most businesses I deal with are well run and simply let down by something small online — a menu that cannot be read on a phone, opening hours wrong on Google for years, a website that quietly stopped working. That says nothing about the business. It says how busy the people running it are.

“Grand job” — what a tradesman in Ireland says when the work has been done right.
